A Drug Free Day in Clay

Saturday, Feb 3, 2018

3:30pm – 5:00pm

The Derek Hatcher Foundation and City Streets to Student Athletes have joined forces to defeat the opioid crisis and share the Derek Hatcher Story. Derek Hatcher was an exceptional quarterback at Ridgeview High School in Clay County, Florida from 2005-2009. After the start of a successful college football career, Derek sadly passed away from a drug overdose in his college dorm room on February 21, 2016. Derek struggled with addiction for three years prior to his death, and during that time he began to share his story with high school football teams, rehabilitation centers and inmates within the juvenile justice system. By continuing to share Derek's message with others we hope to save someone from enduring the nightmare of addiction that he did. To learn more about his story, visit http://www.derekhatcherfoundation.org/.
